ABOUT US

HISTORY

sttopfilters logo STTOP Filters is a family owned company with over 30 years of experience in the filter trade. Based in Cannock in Staffordshire, we supply customers in any sector with filtration solutions that suit their individual needs. We seek to establish long lasting relationships with both customers and suppliers that are mutually beneficial and productive.

We are in the Heating and Ventilation Sectors and through our subsidiary Ductwork Accessories we are invested in the manufacture and supply of filtration and ancillary products.

The filtration industry started in the United Kingdom during World War One with the development of poison gas – i.e. mustard and chlorine. People needed protecting from them hence gas masks. Over the previous forty years the civilian filtration market has grown considerably and continues to do so with the development of electronics and air conditioning. Environmental concerns have helped expand the market. We continue to be at the forefront of market trends as our smaller size enables us to rapidly develop solutions to meet the customers’ needs be they financial or environmental.

sttopfilters logo STTOP Filters was formed in 1993 by husband and wife partners Peter & Susan Potts. In 1997 The company was registered as a Limited Company. In 2000 Filtration Specialists was spun off to provide a specialist service to Industrial Supply Companies who usually have process requirements. The two companies continue to work in partnership and have the same ownership and directors.

H&K Ductwork Accessories was brought and integrated into Filtration Specialists to provide a specialised manufacturing ability. In June of 2006 the company moved to new premises in Cannock. The expanded warehouse space of Unit 15 enabled a significant increase in stock and samples to be stored.

In 2016 STTOP Filters moved all of 10.5m to its present premises at Unit 13 Rumer Hill Road. The increase in office and Warehouse space once more allows an increase in stored stock to meet customer demand.
